Sam Ghosh, Ph.D.

Dr. Sam Ghosh is the founder and president of specialty ceramics firm RocCera, where he manufactures advanced structural ceramics.  Prior to starting his own manufacturing company five years ago, Dr. Ghosh was a researcher at Eastman Kodak, where he developed and implemented ceramic manufacturing technologies.  He has published prolifically in scientific literature and has been awarded over 150 patents, making Dr. Ghosh the leading patent holder in the world in ceramic technologies.  Dr. Ghosh has served as an adjunct professor at Rochester Institute of Technology, where he was twice nominated for awards.  He is also a member of the Ceramic Association of New York (CANY) and an external Advisory Board Member of the Ceramic College at Alfred University.  Dr. Ghosh is a recipient of a National Science Foundation and NASA fellowship, in addition to multiple honors and awards for his decades of work in the ceramics industry.  He holds a Ph.D. in Material Sciences and Engineering from the University of Kentucky.
